Detailed information on new resources will include:
• How to request documents (delivered electronically) and books (delivered by expedited courier) from Japan through your library using the Global ILL Framework and other interlibrary loan sources;
• Access to and use of freely available and subscription-based digital databases from Japan, with discussion of new subscription options becoming available;
• Advice on strategies for locating and legally using visual images from Japan using NCC’s Image Use Protocol Guides; and,
• Information about expanded options for acquiring or borrowing expensive Japanese resources not previously available in the US through NCC's Multi-Volume Sets Grant Program.
Instruction on website access and navigation will be provided via site-simulations and PowerPoint demonstrations with URL downloads for practice and access to the sites emailed to participants. (Direct Internet access may be provided if conference fees permit).
